Jemish Katariya is a young social activist from Surat, Gujarat, dedicated to spreading selfless, unconditional support to underprivileged and vulnerable communities — one small action at a time.
Jemish Hareshbhai Katariya was born on September 27, 2001, in Surat, Gujarat — a city known for its business spirit and tightly-knit community values. Growing up in the Katargaam area, he developed a passion for helping others early in life, guided by a simple belief: every individual can make a difference, no matter their age.
Recognised at just twenty years old for wisdom that many say belongs to someone twice his age, Jemish has spent his youth engaging directly with the people around him rather than waiting for change to arrive. He is the youngest Social Activist, Social Worker in his community, building a social-media-driven network of volunteers, well-wishers and social workers that connects with families facing hardship — turning likes and shares into food packets, medicines and everyday essentials.
“ Positive change starts with small actions. ”
Two simple ideas guide every initiative Jemish takes on — act now, and never expect anything in return.
To serve society through direct, hands-on community involvement — providing food, essentials and genuine support to underprivileged and vulnerable people, while inspiring others to take responsibility for solving problems in their own communities rather than waiting for someone else to act.
To spread selfless, unconditional love and support among people in need, in the belief that every person — regardless of their circumstances — deserves equal opportunity to grow. Jemish envisions a generation of young people who see social service not as charity, but as a shared responsibility.
Guided by his mission, Jemish continues to work toward a few clear, long-term goals for the communities he serves.
Reach more families in need with food, essentials, medicines and everyday support, consistently rather than occasionally.
Inspire and organise young people to volunteer their time, skills and resources for causes in their own neighbourhoods.
Grow the community platform into a trusted, well-connected network linking donors, volunteers and people who need help.
Ensure every act of help preserves the dignity of the person receiving it — support given with respect, not pity.
